At 4,426 square acres, Thompson Lake offers big lake living with a small town feel. The lake provides a variety of recreational opportunities. The 120 foot deep lake offers plenty of habitat for warm and cold water fisheries. 5-6 pound salmon are not uncommon and the state record small mouth bass was caught out of Thompson Lake in the 1970's. Direct amenities on the lake are: public boat access, a marina and a store with boat gas and takeout food. Major shopping centers are nearby. Hogan and Whitney Ponds, Pleasant Lake, Saturday Pond and the Little Androscoggin River are some other major bodies of water in the area. 35 minutes to Portland.
